The new book of the famous Russian writer, author of such popular works as “Generalissimo”, “Commander”, “Marshal Zhukov” and others, winner of State and International Prizes, includes three cycles of novels and short stories: “Peacetime”, “Echo of War” ", "Nostalgia". Together they make up an artistic and documentary chronicle of Russia in the characters and destinies of contemporaries from the pre-war years to the present day. An artistic understanding of the path traveled in the second half of the 20th century makes one think once again about eternal and transitory values. The book is being published to mark the writer’s 85th anniversary.
