Thomas Hurliman (b. 1950), Swiss novelist and playwright. Three historical miniatures depict famous personalities. In the first, the classic of Swiss literature Gottfried Keller is shown at the moment when he is unsuccessfully trying to escape the celebrations on the occasion of his seventieth birthday. In the second story, it is possible to see the great Goethe through the eyes of a man, a Swiss who once happened to drag take his baggage for yourself. The third story, about the Wooden Theater, is the most fantastic and connects the past with the present more tightly than the other two.
