The book treats issues of the metaphysical worldview of Dostoevsky and his heroes. In the language of the pochvennicheskoy concept of “direct cognition,” the author of the book goes through all the tiers of Dostoevsky’s artistic, aesthetic and contemplative-speculative constructions: ontology and epistemology; theology, ethics and philosophy of man; dialogical communication and metaphysics of the Other; philosophy of history and literary urbanism; aesthetics of creativity and philosophy of action. A special place in the book is occupied by the development of problems: “Dostoevsky’s education of a new reader”; “dialogue of the capitals of the Fatherland”; “sacrificial ethics, justification, redemption and salvation of people”, “Christology and eschatology of the last historical day.”
