"The Kivigilliers" is an epic novel by the French writer Emile Zola, in which the author addresses the problem of coal workers in the nineteenth century. The protagonists of the work are the Kivigillars, who, through hard work underground, provide local energy production. Zola explores in detail the life of the workers, their struggle with the mine owners, the loss of human values in the industry and the social problems that arise in this environment. In addition, the author highlights the conflict between the working class and the bourgeoisie, as well as the issue of justice and dignity of workers. Kivigillari is not only a literary masterpiece, but also an important social commentary that leaves the reader with deep thoughts about human nature and justice.
