Erasmus of Rotterdam (1466 - 1536) and Sebastian Brant (1458 - 1521) are among the most famous humanist thinkers of the Renaissance. They wrote many scientific works, but philosophical and satirical works brought them real fame, in which they showed reality, as well as all of humanity and the whole world from the point of view of stupidity.
As one of the researchers of Erasmus' work noted, reading "Praise of Stupidity", sometimes you involuntarily forget that it was written in the 16th century, to such an extent it is fresh, vital and modern - and this can also be fully attributed to Brant's "Ship of Fools".
