The book is a collection of Irish lore compiled by renowned folklorist and linguist Jeremiah Curtin. Drawn from Gaelic storytellers, the author combined these legends into two groups: the first offers Irish versions of common European fairy tales | in the second, stories from the cycle about the Fenians, about Finn MacCumile and his warriors, the Fenians of Erin. At the same time, fairy-tale elements are present in all stories, including battles with giants, the dead coming back to life, people turned into animals, amazing lands of eternal youth and heroes with incredible power.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program.
