The monograph is devoted to the consideration of the structural organization of words in preschool children with normal and impaired speech activity. Data on specific indicators of the unformedness of the syllabic structure of a word in children with various forms of speech disorders and with varying degrees of their manifestations are presented. The interdependence of the difficulties of perception and realization of the structure of the word is revealed. The mechanisms underlying the formation of the syllabic structure of the word are analyzed, and their state in preschool children with various forms of speech pathology is characterized. The materials of the study of basic non-speech processes that are significant for the formation of the syllabic structure of a word in children are presented.
