Clive Staples Lewis (1898–1963) was an outstanding British writer, author of the famous Chronicles of Narnia cycle, the total circulation of which exceeded 100 million copies. However, Lewis is also widely known as the author of philosophical works on Christianity, which largely reflected his personal religious experience. In adolescence, Lewis departed from the faith under the influence of the atheistic views of his teacher, but by the age of 30, now under the influence of the university environment and one of his best friends, John R.R. Tolkien, - again converted to the Anglican faith. Toward the end of his life, he began to lean towards Catholicism and took the last communion in the Catholic rite. The collection includes three of Lewis' classic works on the apologetics of Christianity - "Mere Christianity", "Love" and "Suffering". Clive Staples Lewis, one of the first Christian philosophers of the twentieth century, put forward the bold idea of an "ecumenical Christianity" that is not associated with a particular confessional affiliation. True faith has nothing to do with the divisions of various branches of Christianity, and this, according to Lewis, is the essence of "just Christianity".Publisher's layout preserved in pdf.a4 format.
