The novel "Favorite" is a multifaceted work in which a huge layer of historical reality is raised, a broad canvas of life in Russia in the second half of the 18th century is given. The author depicts the era through the prism of the actions of the protagonist - His Serene Highness Prince Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin-Tauride, favorite of Catherine II | a complex man, in many respects contradictory, but, of course, talented and intelligent, who resolutely interfered in state affairs and saw his duty in serving Russia.
