The books of Victor Ремизова are noticed by readers and literary critics, included in the short lists of the main Russian literary bonuses - "Russian Букер" and "Large book", translated into the basic European languages, and this book entered the finale of bonus "The Large book" too. In "Eternal frigidity" an author is again, as well as in two previous books, calls to Siberia. Roman is based on the real events. One and a half thousand kilometres of railway prisoners laid from the north of Ural in lower reaches of Yenisei on a taiga and bogs in 1949-1953. Roman is built as history of a few families. He is about love, power and beauty of man, about becoming of personality in critical moment histories, about opposition and coexistence of man and nature. An unhurried, attentive narration charms and does not release a reader to the last phrase and yet long after.
