The heroes of Algerd Bakharevich's new novel are Belarusian-speaking children, patients of a mysterious institution called the Camp. Like modern-day Hansel and Gretel, they find themselves in a dark forest, where they are waiting for adventures that are not at all childish. A fairy tale, satire, dystopia – the book can be attributed to each of these genres, but it still remains a book about us, those who live here and now.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
