Морис-Мари-Эмиль Leblanc (1864-1941) is the French writer. Working as firstly a reporter in "Фигаро", produced a few collections of short stories, but the special success did not win. Influential parisian publisher Пьер Лафит became the literary godfather of Leblanc. He suggested to think of a hero that would vie on popularity with Шерлоком Холмсом him. And Leblanc created Арсена Люпена is a character-myth in that frenchmen were pleasant to know itself: strong and brave hero, sly, penetrating and, most important, witty: he wins the enemies, ridiculing them. Besides five collections of stories, fifteen novels and three plays about Арсене Люпене, Maurice Leblanc wrote two ten of adventure, science fiction, love novels and great number of stories also.In this volume collection of stories is presented the "Extraordinary adventures of Арсена Люпена" - first-ever from numbers of works about a famous adventurer, bringing him to the author world glory.
