And it seems that the authors managed to mention all the notable characters and all the most important events in the history of the Celestial Empire. Of course, one single story by itself cannot fully reflect each era. But the compilers hope that after reading these stories, inquisitive readers will have at least a general impression of the chronology and facts of the rich history of China. Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі історії. Автори зуміли зібрати та систематизувати величезну кількість інформації про періоди династій Суй та Тан, що робить її незамінним джерелом для всіх, хто цікавиться китайською історією. Оповідання написані в зручному для сприйняття стилі, що дозволяє легко зануритися в події минулого. Я особливо вражений тим, як вдало укладачі змогли передати атмосферу епохи та описати значущих персонажів, які вплинули на розвиток країни. Хоча деякі моменти перекладу могли бути не зовсім точними, це не заважає загальному враженню від книги. Рекомендую цю працю всім, хто хоче зрозуміти багатогранність китайської історії та культури!
