Gregory McDonald is an American journalist and writer. Born in 1937 in New England, he worked as a magazine editor, critic, and journalist. A series of novels about Irwin Morris Fletcher, better known as Fletch, brought him fame and glory. Fletch is a witty and charming journalist who constantly gets into all sorts of troubles, but gets out of them brilliantly.
