“The Return of the Pioneer” is a new novel by Shamil Idiatullin, a writer and journalist, twice winner of the Big Book Prize, author of the novels “The City of Brezhnev”, “Former Lenin”, “Recent Time”. In 1985, three schoolchildren are selected to participate in the secret Pioneer space program. Teenagers must help humanity conquer the Universe, and first save it from a mortal threat. And this is just the beginning of the tests. When they return to Earth, they will find that they have found themselves in a distant future where no one knows them, where their country does not exist and where there is almost nothing left that they valued and for which they made sacrifices. The heroes will either have to come to terms with this, or, in accordance with the oath, live, learn and fight.

Історія трьох школярів, які стають частиною секретної космічної програми, захоплює з перших сторінок. Автор майстерно передає емоції героїв, їхні страхи та надії, коли вони стикаються з невідомістю і величезними викликами. Повернення в далеке майбутнє, де все, що вони знали, зникло, ставить під сумнів не лише їхні цінності, але й саму суть людства. Книга змушує задуматися про те, що дійсно важливо в житті, і як ми можемо зберегти свою ідентичність у світі, що постійно змінюється. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків, це не зменшує загального враження від читання. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує глибокі та змістовні історії!
