“I am from the fiery village” is a documentary collection of memoirs about the destruction of Belarusian villages by the Nazis and about partisans during the Great Patriotic War, collected and compiled by Belarusian writers Ales Adamovich, Vladimir Kolesnik and Yanka Bryl. The book includes testimonies only of those people who personally experienced the tragedy of burned villages, the murder of relatives and fellow villagers. To interview eyewitnesses, writers during 1970–1973 traveled with a tape recorder to 147 villages in 35 regions of Belarus and recorded the memories of more than 300 direct participants in the events.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що призвело до деяких недоліків у якості перекладу, це не зменшує цінності самої книги. Вона повинна бути прочитана кожним, хто хоче зрозуміти, як війна вплинула на життя звичайних людей. Ця книга не лише про минуле, а й про те, як важливо зберігати пам'ять про історію, щоб не допустити повторення подібних трагедій у майбутньому.
