Este Pametan is a ship of generations, moving for more than a hundred years, towards a distant planetary system, “sentenced” to colonization. The flight is greatly delayed, and passengers begin to suspect that an error has crept into the calculation system, or, worse, the spaceship missed its target. John Regan does not believe in either of these - he suspects the control cell of a conspiracy, and therefore is trying to get to the bottom of to the essence of what is happening. The government, tired of fighting troublemakers like Regan, sentences doubters to liquidation, using a unit of hunters specially created for these purposes. Thomas Pascal is the most experienced liquidator. His task is to destroy Regan and his henchmen before they start a riot on the ship. But John is no stranger either. He has spent his entire life on the run, and therefore is not very worried about the outcome of the fight. The hunt has begun!

Книга "Бранці Есте" захоплює з перших сторінок і не відпускає до самого кінця. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруги та невизначеності, коли пасажири зорельота "Есте Паметан" починають усвідомлювати, що їхній рейс затримується, а їхня доля опиняється під загрозою. Сюжет наповнений інтригами, бунтами та боротьбою за виживання, що робить його надзвичайно динамічним. Персонажі, зокрема Томас Паскаль і Ріган, прописані дуже глибоко, і їхні мотивації та внутрішні конфлікти додають історії ще більшої емоційної ваги. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків у формулюваннях, це не заважає загальному враженню від читання. Рекомендую цю книгу всім любителям наукової фантастики та захоплюючих пригод!
