Gabriel is the first novel in the Mirror of the Prophet series. The action takes place in Scotland in the 18th and 19th centuries. The main character of the novel, Gabriel MacRose, at the age of 12, loses his parents, who are killed in his own home by assassins sent by the brother of the Duke of Cornwall. On the same day, the Duke himself dies, and Gabriel’s parents are blamed for his death. The boy miraculously manages to escape. To survive, he goes to Edinburgh, where he becomes the secretary of the leader of the underworld. Later, having already matured, he learns from the Druid priest who saved him in childhood that his fate is connected with a certain Mirror of the Prophet, which requires him not only to return his good name family and take revenge on the killers, but also gain face. Gabriel's story is full of adventure, graceful humor and mysticism.

Вражаюча подорож у світ містики та пригод!
Роман «Габріель» став для мене справжнім відкриттям. Дія, що розгортається у Шотландії 18–19 століть, занурює читача в атмосферу інтриг, таємниць і небезпек. Головний герой, Габріель Мак-Роз, переживає жахливу трагедію в дитинстві, що формує його подальшу долю. Його шлях від маленького хлопчика до секретаря ватажка злочинного світу вражає та захоплює. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи пригодницького роману з містикою, що робить читання ще більш захоплюючим. Особливо сподобалася ідея Дзеркала Пророка, яке стає символом пошуку власної ідентичності та справедливості. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім точним, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить глибокі сюжети з елементами історії та містики!
