This publication continues to acquaint readers with texts by Mikhail Lifshits that have not been published to this day. It covers the period from 1959 to 1983 and includes letters from Mikhail Lifshits to three correspondents: Vladimir Dostal (letters 1959–1974), Viktor Arslanov (letters 1968–1978) and Mikhail Mikhailov (letters 1973–1983 gg.). The publication includes all the surviving letters to Dostal and Mikhailov and part of the letters sent to Arslanov (letters of exclusively everyday nature were not included). All letters are given in full. The letters represent a combination of philosophical reflections on life and culture with living characteristics of people and events against the backdrop of everyday details of everyday existence.
