The book brings together the works of Chechen schoolchildren, dedicated to the past and present of Chechnya and reflecting the personal experience of the authors, the history of their families and the fate of different people against the backdrop of Chechen history. The book also includes essays by four Russian schoolchildren on the fate of Chechen refugees in Russia.
