1942, Krakow. Sadie and her parents huddle in the ghetto, still hoping that they will escape the terrible fate that is in store for those like them. With the arrival of the German occupiers, every day turns into a test for them, an intense struggle for survival. But when the Nazis commit another bloody massacre of the Jewish population, it becomes obvious: it is no longer possible to hide from the growing tyranny and cruelty. Sadie and her pregnant mother have to seek refuge in the tunnels under the city, in the dark, damp catacombs. One day, a girl observes the bustle of life through a sewer grate of the city, which seems to have not noticed their absence, and sees his peer buying flowers. Ella is a Polish woman who leads her usual life as if the world was not at war. Feeling eyes on her, she takes a closer look and discerns Sadie in the darkness of the “dungeon.” Ella immediately understands that in front of her is someone who, in the current situation, is safer in the shadows. She begins to help Sadie, and gradually the girls become closer, but, unfortunately, in the current circumstances, this friendship could cost each of them their lives...
