The collection includes three foreign detective stories whose authors are women. All the authors of the collection are characterized by inexhaustible imagination, sparkling humor, dynamism and intensity of action. Dan Roberts is the creative pseudonym of Hungarian doctors Eva Bucor and Gabriella Horvath. The cool detective story “Stake Your Life” is their debut in literature. The detective story “To Love But Keep Your Mind,” on the contrary, is written by the famous English writer Josephine Tay (1876–1952), the author of many detective and historical novels. A witty cartoon on “ black novel”, based on the “horror novel”, was created by the Polish writer Joanna Chmielewska. Her detective story “What the Dead Man Said,” in which absolutely incredible adventures happen to the heroine, has gone through more than one edition.

Неймовірна збірка детективів з жіночим поглядом на світ!
Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям! Збірка детективів, написаних жінками, вражає своєю динамічністю, гумором та захоплюючими сюжетами. Особливо сподобався дебютний роман «Постав на карту життя» від Ден Робертса, який вміло поєднує елементи трилера і чорного гумору. Автори вдало створюють атмосферу напруги, а їхні персонажі живі та реалістичні. Також варто відзначити детектив «Що сказав небіжчик» від Іоанни Хмелевської, який вражає своєю оригінальністю та непередбачуваними поворотами сюжету. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися читанням. Рекомендую цю книгу всім шанувальникам детективів, які шукають щось нове та цікаве!
