Following two autobiographical novels, “My Mother’s Lover” and “My Father’s Diary,” the famous Swiss writer Urs Widmer has written a new book, “The Life of a Dwarf,” in which he talks about his childhood. The main character is the author's favorite toy, a gnome who brings good luck and protects his little master from all sorts of troubles.
