Fashionable and successful photographer Andrei Berg is preparing for the most important exhibition of his life. He must again surprise and prove that he is head and shoulders above his competitors. He perceives his meeting with a deaf-mute girl, Marina, who turns out to be a wonderful model, as a gift of fate. Obsessed with finding the perfect shot, Andrey extends the photo shoot again and again. Soon the girl realizes that she has become a hostage to the artist’s creative ambitions and the romantic story threatens to turn into a thriller. Despite the tension of the plot, this is a story primarily about a person’s obsession with his work, art. The novel formed the basis for the script of the film of the same name, which received high praise at the 42nd World Film Festival in Montreal and a prize in the category “Best Actress.”
