It was Christmas Eve 1956. A not-so-famous writer named Michael Bond came across an unwanted teddy bear in a large London store. Bond bought the bear and named it Paddington after the nearby train station. And then several stories appeared about the adventures of a funny bear who arrived from Deep Peru straight to Paddington Station.
