Internal social contradictions were by no means the main reasons for the revolutions of 1905 and 1917. They were purposefully organized by governments, intelligence services, financial circles of foreign powers, and not only by our country’s opponents in the First World War, but also by its allies - England, France, the USA, who saw the Russian Empire as a powerful rival and brought it down with subversive operations. The new book of the famous writer-historian Valery Shambarov, “Who overthrew Nicholas II?” tells about this. It is based on rigorous documentary materials, allowing for a new assessment not only of the disasters of the early 20th century, but also of modern world processes.
