"The Witch" is one of LaVey's key works dedicated to the so-called minor magic, and is intended mainly for women and dedicated to the Woman. It must be said that the Chief Mystifier of the 20th century loved women sincerely and selflessly, and knew how to understand and feel them well. His connections with Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield are, to date, one of the most colorful legends in the history of the creation of the Church of Satan. And this love is felt on every page of this monograph. “The Witch” by LaVey to this day is the best guide to survival, self-determination and self-realization for a modern woman in a modern consumer society. However, obviously without even suspecting it, the Great Mystifier in this work approached problems of a deeper nature related to the survival of humanity as a whole. The Satanic Witch is one of the last works of the founder of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey. The book was first published in 1971 under the title "The Perfect Witch", but was subsequently republished in 1988 as "The Satanic Witch", and until 1988 it was published under the title "The Complete Witch's Guide". The book contains principles on which living as a woman-witch, psychotechnics, the witch’s relationship with the outside world and society. There are practically no descriptions of various satanic rituals in the book. Even in The Satanic Bible, LaVey denies the division of magic into light and dark, introducing a different classification, according to which all magic is divided into greater magic, or ritual, and lesser magic, or manipulative, for the implementation of which one does not need rituals.
