Вражаюча історія про незвичайну особистість!
Книга "Бернадот. Від французького маршала до шведського короля" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор вдало досліджує життя Ж.-Б. Бернадота, показуючи, як ця людина, яка спочатку була чужинцем у Швеції, змогла стати не лише королем, а й символом національної єдності. Читання цієї книги допомогло мені зрозуміти, як важливою була роль Бернадота в історії не лише Швеції, а й Росії, адже його діяльність тісно переплітається з зовнішньою політикою того часу. Опис його трансформації з республіканця в монарха є надзвичайно повчальним, особливо в контексті сучасних цінностей. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, загалом книга читається легко і цікаво. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією та політикою, адже ця книга відкриває нові горизонти в розумінні минулого!
