The Free Fusiliers, the first novel by the popular English writer Thomas Myne Reid (1818–1883), written in 1850, tells the story of the adventures of the brave and noble Captain Haller during the Mexican-American War of 1846–1848. The collection also includes the rarely published adventure novel “The Brave Huntress.”
