This novel was written in the troubled 90s years. And it became, practically, the first work that honestly and uncompromisingly showed that terrible time for our country. And yet this is not a political bestseller, but a novel about love, friendship and betrayal. About the whole generation, which suffered all the trials of those turbulent and critical years. Without exaggeration, it can be compared with Erich Maria Remarque’s novel “Three Comrades.” Published in several issues of the Yunost magazine, it was a huge success among young people.

Роман "Солдати останньої війни" справляє глибоке враження завдяки своєму чесному та безкомпромісному зображенню важких часів 90-х років в Україні. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу того часу, показуючи не лише політичні та соціальні проблеми, але й людські стосунки, які стали випробуванням для багатьох. Книга розкриває теми кохання, дружби та зради, що робить її не лише історичним свідченням, а й глибоким психологічним дослідженням. Порівняння з "Трьома товаришами" Ремарка цілком виправдане, адже обидва твори піднімають важливі питання про людську природу в умовах війни та соціальних катастроф. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, текст залишається зрозумілим і емоційно насиченим. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією та людськими переживаннями в складні часи.
