Now the Baudelaire orphans are forced to hide from everyone who reads the newspapers in which they were proclaimed real murderers. Ahead of them lies a stay in the Nightmare Clinic, a journey through a dangerous mountain range and further attacks from Count Olaf and his retinue. However, the Baudelaires do not give up: they want to find out the truth about their parents at all costs, and no difficulties will stop them. The darkly humorous stories about the adventures of the Baudelaire children have become so popular all over the world that they formed the basis of the film “Lemony Snicket. 33 Unfortunate Events”, starring Jim Carrey, Jude Law and Meryl Streep. More recently, Netflix filmed a series of the same name. It stars Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes. The third season of the dark story was released in January 2019. The second volume of “Victims of Fate” includes three stories in the cycle: “Nightmare Clinic”, “Bloodthirsty Carnival” and “Slippery Slope”.
