Knut Faldbakken (b. 1941), modern popular Norwegian writer, author of numerous novels, short stories and plays. He made his debut in 1967 and some of his works, including Summer Vacation / Insektsommer, 1972, were later made into films. The novel "E-18" ("E-18" is a road sign indicating the European Highway - the direction through southern Norway to the main part of the European continent.), 1980, was originally written as a film script. Both novels are connected by one theme - the theme of summer, a wonderful time of year, eagerly awaited by the inhabitants of the cold northern country. The novel “Sunset Country” / “Uaar, Aftenlandet”, 1974 (Russian translation - 1980) brought the writer particular fame. Works by K .Faldbakken have been translated into many languages. For a wide range of readers.

Хоча переклад тексту виконано за допомогою штучного інтелекту і в деяких місцях зустрічаються незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовою історією.
