Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруження та інтриги, ведучи читача через заплутану справу, що стосується особистого життя заможного бізнесмена Лео Фішера. Відмінно прописані персонажі, зокрема сам детектив, викликають симпатію та інтерес, а їхні стосунки та переживання додають глибини сюжету. Спостереження за дружиною Фішера перетворюється на справжнє детективне розслідування, сповнене несподіваних поворотів та кримінальних злочинів, що тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на загальне враження, книга залишає по собі приємні емоції та бажання дізнатися більше про пригоди Макса Вундерліха.
