Janusz Korczak (1878–1942) Polish writer, teacher, doctor. In addition to “King Matt the First” (1923) and its sequel “King Matt on a Desert Island,” he wrote more than 20 books about raising teenagers, including “How to Love a Child” (1914). He died in a Nazi concentration camp along with 200 children from the Warsaw ghetto - his pupils. The first complete translation of the story into Russian was made by Muza Pavlova and published by the Warsaw publishing house Polonia in 1958 (subsequently reprinted several times). In Russia, this translation was first published in Moscow in 1992.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
