August Gailit (1891 - 1960) is one of the most remarkable writers of the “Silver Age” of Estonian literature of the 20-30s. In 1944 he emigrated to Sweden. Therefore, his book is published in Russian for the first time. The collection includes the short stories “The Werewolf”, “The Heinous Crime”, “Red Horses” and “The Sea”
