In 1941, American rocket engineer and occultist Jack Parsons travels to Nazi-occupied Prague to uncover the mystery of the Golem. This Kabbalistic creature can help in the war against the Third Reich. Parsons cannot leave Marseille and meets a group of avant-garde artists expelled by the Nazis. Together with them, he creates a new mystical weapon that can revive all the dreams and nightmares lurking in the imagination of the surrealists. The C-bomb explodes in Paris. The course of the war and world history has changed. In 1950, Paris is still immersed in the chaos of war. Resistance groups are fighting Nazi occupiers and collaborators. Manifas—animated images torn from the subconscious of the surrealists—flooded the city streets. Among the ruins roam demons summoned from Hell by SS esotericists. Resistance fighter Thibault is trying to leave the crazy city, but a chance acquaintance with an American woman, Sam, will change his plans. Sam is supposedly documenting life in New Paris and wants to get into the epicenter of the C-bomb explosion. By helping her, Thibault reveals the secret plans of the Nazis, and only the help of the mysterious and powerful surreal Exquisite Corpse can save the heroes and their city.
