Elfried Jelinek is a 2004 Nobel Prize winner in literature, an Austrian writer whose novels (The Pianist, Mistresses, Greed) are well known in Russia. Jelinek's dramatic works, which brought her fame back in the early 70s, had not previously been translated into Russian. At the center of the collection is a play about the fate of Clara Schumann that has not left the stage for many years.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
