Peter Gelderloos (together with his friends and assistants, to whom special thanks!) took upon himself an extremely necessary, grateful and noble work: to collect from all eras and ends of the world grains of living anarchist experience in the past and present and present them to the reader - not as museum exhibits, a beautiful fairy tale of bygone times or a lofty dream, but as an embodied utopia of a free society, liberated personality and libertarian culture. Along the way, he had to debunk the most widespread and dense cave myths about “anarchy” that exist and are replicated today. Anarchy in this book appears not as a country of milk rivers with jelly banks and not as a world of criminal lawlessness of dark villains, but as a completely feasible (and already implemented, being implemented here and there) model of social structure, moral principles, human relationships - with its own complexities, imperfections and unpredictability, only emphasizing the “realizability” of this eternal dream of a freer, fairer and more humane society. In this society without prisons, bosses, wars, hungry people and cops, people will finally be able to devote themselves entirely to truly human - eternal questions and activities (creativity and contemplation, painful comprehension and resolution of issues of love, freedom, death).
