“Beyond Good and Evil” is a landmark work by Friedrich Nietzsche, which marks a turning point in the worldview and, more broadly, in the entire system of thought and attitude of the philosopher, which came after the writing of the book “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”, and precedes the final, most intense the period of his work, marked by summing up the philosophical results of the history of mankind and a premonition of the spiritual cataclysms of the 20th century. It is no coincidence that the work is subtitled “Prelude to the Philosophy of the Future.” Nietzsche creates a completely new type of work, unprecedented in the history of world philosophy. Already the generation that was emerging at the time the book was written, and crossed the threshold of the 20th century at the time of its spiritual formation, perceived it as the norm of spirituality - “a kind of alarmingly buzzing siren, bursting into the new century as a harbinger of monstrous accidents in all spheres of life,” a frightening “gift of Cassandra” . In the book there is despair and almost delight, a premonition, “how close, how close is the time when things will be different!”, and the belief that there will be ways of thinking that are adequate to another “beyond good and evil.”
