Вражаюче дослідження творчості Толкіна!
Книга "Дж. Р. Р. Толкін: автор століття" є справжнім подарунком для всіх шанувальників творчості великого письменника. Професор Том Шіппі вдало поєднує філологічний аналіз з глибокими роздумами про вплив Толкіна на сучасну літературу. Його аргументи про те, чому фентезі не варто недооцінювати, звучать надзвичайно переконливо і змушують задуматися про глибину та значення творів Толкіна. Я особливо вражений його інтерпретацією зв'язку між хобітами та християнством, що відкриває нові горизонти для розуміння цього класичного світу. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися змістом і глибиною аналізу. Книга стане чудовим доповненням до бібліотеки кожного, хто прагне зрозуміти не лише творчість Толкіна, а й ширші літературні та культурні контексти. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче зануритися у філологічну подорож до Середзем'я!
