Publisher's abstract: The book is dedicated to the fighting in the southwestern direction of the Soviet-German front in June - November 1941 and covers all the most significant events of this period: the tank battle in the Dubno-Brody-Lutsk area, the battles for the “Stalin Line” , encirclement near Uman, Kiev and Melitopol, successful counter-offensive of Soviet troops near Rostov. The basis for its creation was declassified military documents and studies that were published at one time under the headings “For official use” and “Secret”. The book makes extensive use of German research, memoirs and documents. The text is accompanied by illustrations, documentary appendices and reference materials. Intended for a wide range of readers interested in military history.

Ілюстрації та документальні додатки доповнюють текст, надаючи йому ще більшої ваги. Хоча переклад з використанням штучного інтелекту іноді має недоліки, загалом текст читається легко і зрозуміло.
