The text of the book offered to the reader was written more than 120 years ago. At the end of the 1870s. Russian naval officer Captain-Lieutenant Pavel Mordovia, having done a lot of work on summarizing Western press materials on armored shipbuilding, prepared the manuscript of the book “The English Armored Fleet” for publication. The book was printed in a small edition in 1878 at the printing house of the Naval Ministry and a few years later became a bibliographic rarity. It describes with encyclopedic accuracy all types of English battleships from the Warrior to the Dreadnought. That was a period when the fleets of all countries of the world were rapidly developing, and the maritime world every year witnessed new and new types of ships, especially armored ones. Therefore, six years later, another book by P. Mordovin, “The Newest English Battleships,” was published, the chapter from which, dedicated to the “Inflexible” type battleships, which left a noticeable mark on the history of military shipbuilding, was the basis of this book. For a wide range of readers interested in military history.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program.
