Once upon a time, an old fisherman instructed the village youth, telling them an ancient parable about a giant “king fish” living in local waters: “And if you, timid people, have something in your soul, a grave sin, what a disgrace, barnery - don’t get involved with the king fish, if you come across codes, let them go right away.” However, what sin could be in the soul of the wealthy “strong owner” Ignatyich, whom the whole village respects for his intelligence and dexterity, honesty and willingness to come to the aid of his neighbors? Why could his meeting with the mysterious “king fish” cost him his life? In the terrible moments of his struggle with death, Ignatyich will have to rethink his entire past and, if he wants to avoid death, understand how he sinned before God and people.
