The famous British art critic, prose writer and essayist John Burger (1926–2017) analyzes from artistic and historical-political points of view the work of the Russian sculptor Ernst Neizvestny (1925–2016), which appears in this essay as an original phenomenon of anti-Soviet and at the same time anti-capitalist modernism.
