For thirty years, from 1455 to 1485, the Lancastrians, whose emblem was a red rose, fought a war for the English throne with the York dynasty (the emblem was a white rose). The rivalry between the dynasties, romantically known as the Wars of the Roses, ended with the marriage of Henry VII and Princess Elizabeth, daughter of Edward IV of York. Книга "Єлизавета Йоркська: Роза Тюдорів" є справжнім літературним шедевром, який переносить читача в часи, коли війна між Ланкастерами та Йорками формувала не лише політичний ландшафт Англії, а й долі багатьох людей. Автор майстерно описує події, що відбувалися протягом тридцяти років, надаючи читачеві можливість відчути атмосферу тих часів. Особливо вражає, як через призму особистого життя Єлизавети, дочки Едуарда IV, розкриваються складні політичні інтриги та емоційні переживання героїв. Хоча текст книги перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків у формулюваннях, загалом це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією Англії та династичними конфліктами, адже вона не лише інформативна, а й надзвичайно цікава!
