One of the Grand Dukes accuses the Moscow Governor-General of being unable to restore order in the Mother See. And then there was the daring theft at the All-Russian Art and Industrial Exhibition. The complicated case is being led by private investigators - a reporter for the Moskovsky Listok newspaper, Alexei Lavrovsky, and an assistant attorney at law, Sergei Malinin. Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу Москви 1882 року, занурюючи читача у світ перегони, шахрайства та інтриг. Заплутані справи, які ведуть приватні детективи, тримають в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Особливо сподобалася динаміка між головними героями — Олексієм Лавровським та Сергієм Малініним, їхній гумор і взаємодія додають книзі особливого шарму. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, якість перекладу в цілому на високому рівні, і лише в деяких місцях зустрічаються незначні недоліки. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить детективи з історичним контекстом та непередбачуваними поворотами сюжету!
