Книга "Машина смерті: Зоряний король" — це справжня знахідка для любителів наукової фантастики та космічних бойовиків. Джек Венс створив неймовірний всесвіт, де злочинці та вбивці правлять балом, а боротьба за виживання стає справжнім мистецтвом. Сюжет вражає своєю динамічністю: від початку до кінця читач відчуває напругу та емоції головного героя, єдиного, хто залишився в живих на знищеній планеті. Помста стає його рушійною силою, і автор майстерно передає всі нюанси цього процесу. Хоча книга вперше публікується російською мовою, якість перекладу здебільшого на високому рівні, що дозволяє насолоджуватися текстом без значних перешкод. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, це не заважає насолоджуватися епічною історією про боротьбу добра і зла.
