Two uncertified St. Petersburg police officers, Dmitry Petrukhin and Leonid Kuptsov, are forced to accept an offer from a former crime boss, and now a very influential businessman, to privately investigate a murder committed in his office. When they take on this case, they do not yet realize that soon their well-coordinated professional tandem will be in demand in other complicated cases - both criminal and privately sensitive. After all, Petrukhin and Kuptsov are not just good detectives. They also have a rare talent for “resolving issues” gracefully and originally. At the same time, it doesn’t matter to them who is opposing them: a seasoned criminal, a femme fatale or an official of the highest rank.
