And it all began in pre-war Leningrad, when the teenager Yura was a pioneer, a boy from an intelligent family. And his fate could have turned out completely differently if not for his mother’s godfather, once the personal driver of Lenin himself, who had the imprudence to write an extremely seditious manuscript for those times... So: 1962. The Baron managed not only to find his sister, with whom he had separated during the Leningrad siege winter, but also to find the woman he loved. It would seem that now is the time to get rid of the criminal past and start life from scratch. However, circumstances are such that the Baron commits a new crime, not suspecting that this is a trap skillfully set by employees of the Leningrad criminal investigation department. “BY THE ACCOUNTS” is a new book by Andrei Konstantinov.
