The 2nd volume of the Collected Works of A. M. Remizov “Dokuka and Joker” includes the main collections and cycles of his fairy tales. For Remizov, the world of a fairy tale is a reflection of the people's worldview. The volume opens with the collection “Posolon”, where the seasons change as the sun goes on, and with them - folklore rituals preserved in fairy tales, riddles, counting rhymes and children's games. Different facets of the people's view of the world are reflected in the collections “Russian Women”, “Dokuka and Jokers”, etc. Remizov was rightfully considered the best storyteller of the early 20th century. His tales were highly valued by A. Blok, M. Voloshin, Andrei Bely and other writers of the Silver Age.
